1. Acceptance of terms

By using jyotishgen.com (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

2. What the Site is

The Site is a free calculator that generates a Vedic astrological birth chart from a date, time, and place you provide, using astronomical calculations performed in your browser. It is offered for entertainment, educational, and self-reflection purposes only.

The Site also offers a palmistry feature, which measures a photograph of your palm in your browser and returns the meanings that traditional palmistry attaches to those measurements. The measurements are produced by image analysis and may be wrong; the interpretations are folk tradition and are not claims of fact about you or your future. This feature is offered on the same entertainment-only basis, and you should not read anything in it as a statement about your health or lifespan.

3. Not professional advice

Nothing on this Site constitutes medical, legal, financial, psychological, or other professional advice. Astrological and palmistry content — including yoga descriptions, dasha timing, the chart reading, and any reading of your palm lines — is generated from calculated planetary positions using template logic, not a personalized consultation from a qualified practitioner. Do not make significant life, health, financial, or legal decisions based solely on this Site. Consult an appropriately qualified professional for matters that require one.

4. Accuracy

Astronomical calculations are validated against published reference values and are generally precise, but:

• Results depend entirely on the birth date, time, place, and UTC offset you enter. Incorrect input produces an incorrect chart — the Lagna alone shifts roughly one degree every four minutes of unaccounted time.
• You are responsible for adjusting the UTC offset for daylight saving time, and for historical time-zone conventions that may not match current offsets, before generating a chart.
• Vedic astrology itself uses interpretive frameworks (yoga combinations, dasha periods) that are traditional and symbolic, not empirically verified predictive systems. The Site presents classical interpretations; it does not warrant that any interpretation will be accurate or will "come true."

5. No warranty

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, JyotishGen and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site — including decisions made based on chart content. Your use of the Site is at your own risk.

7. Advertising

The Site displays third-party advertisements served through Google AdSense. We don't control the content of individual ads and aren't responsible for the products, services, or claims of advertisers. See the Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies work.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to: scrape or systematically extract data from the Site in a way that degrades service for others; attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Site's operation; or use the Site for any unlawful purpose.

9. Intellectual property

The Site's design, text, and underlying code are the property of JyotishGen unless otherwise noted. You're welcome to use the calculator for personal purposes and share links to it. Wholesale republication or resale of the Site's content or code without permission isn't permitted.

10. Age

The Site doesn't collect personal data and has no age-gated content, but is intended for general audiences capable of understanding that its output is for entertainment and reflection rather than fact.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will update the "Last updated" date above.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless a different governing law is required by the law of your jurisdiction.
